About me
My name is Blaž Robič. I am a graphic designer and the founder of the studio Mushin-Design, where for over 20 years I have been helping companies design strong visual identities, user experiences for digital products, and thoughtful design systems.
My journey into design began spontaneously – out of curiosity, experimentation, and a desire to understand how visual communication affects people. Over time, this curiosity grew into a profession that today combines branding, UI/UX, print, and digital design.
Throughout my career, I have collaborated with various companies and brands, including projects for Coca-Cola HBC, Heineken, Radenska, Union, as well as many smaller companies, start-ups, and organizations.
What defines me as a designer is not just aesthetics. I am interested in the meaning behind the form – why something exists, what it communicates, and how it affects the people who use it.

My beginnings
My journey into design began rather spontaneously – out of curiosity and experimentation. Over time, this grew into more than 20 years of experience in visual communication, branding, and digital design.
What I created
At various stages of my career, I have participated in projects for brands such as Coca-Cola HBC, Heineken, Radenska, and Union, alongside numerous smaller companies and startups.
What defines me
I am interested in the meaning of form – why something exists, what it communicates, and how it affects the people who use it. For me, design is not just aesthetics, but communication.
Why Mushin
The name Mushin originates from the Japanese philosophy of karate and means a state of complete presence. In design, this translates to clarity, focus, and determination without unnecessary noise.
Karate and design
I have been training karate for more than 30 years and hold a 3rd DAN black belt. Discipline, focus, and continuous improvement are principles that I also bring into my work.
How I work today
In projects, I combine branding, UI/UX, web, and print. This breadth allows me to understand the project holistically – from idea to final execution.
For me, design has always been more than just work. It is a way of thinking, observing, and understanding the world around me.
Over the years, I have realized that my approach is not only influenced by design, but by everything I do, from karate and discipline, to working with people,
traveling, and the experiences I gather outside the studio.
Today, these different paths are not separate. They have become part of the same system of thinking.
When I work on a project, I don't just bring my design knowledge.
I bring the way I observe, analyze, and find balance between different elements.
That is why I believe a good result does not come only from tools or trends, but from a broader context, from the experiences a person brings with them.

One way.
I like to know who I am working with. Not just with the company, but with the person behind it. That is why below I show not only projects, but also fragments of my path, experiences, environments, and moments that shaped me. Today, I combine all of this into a way of thinking that I bring into my work.
